mod_pLua is an Apache2 module for running preprocessed Lua scripts using a PHP-like syntax. It precompiles all scripts and caches the compiled binary code so that each new call to the same file will be lightning fast (on average, 2.6 times as fast as PHP). It supports both the traditional Lua interpreter as well as LuaJIT, for both Windows and Unix platforms. If your Web server supports it, it also utilizes APR_DBD to handle databases through the dbopen() Lua function. It is thread-safe.

Release Notes: This release re-enables the global pool mutex, which was shut off for debugging purposes. 404 errors now use Apache's 404 handler instead. The hooking procedure has changed so directives will be caught and used before the first pool is created.

lpc-ntpd is a driver for the "lindy precision clock" MSF radio receiver. It connects your MSF atomic clock radio (MSF Rugby, UK) to the reference NTP daemon of ntp.org.

dd_rescue copies data from one file or block device to another. It is intended for error recovery, so, by default, it doesn't abort on errors, and doesn't truncate the output file. It uses large block sizes to quicken the copying, but falls back to small blocks upon encountering errors. It produces reports that allow you to keep track of bad blocks.

Release Notes: Changes since the last published version (1.20) include additional warnings for overwriting existing files in sparse mode, documentation improvements, an FPE bugfix for reverse copy, really defaulting to -y 0 (not syncing except at the end), not considering EOF an error and displaying better error messages (errno was overwritten in one scenario), portability improvements, and fixes for the output of bad blocks.

amforth is an extendible command interpreter for the Atmel AVR ATmega microcontroller family. It has a turnkey feature for embedded use as well. It does not depend on a host application. The command language is an almost compatible ANS94 forth with extensions. It needs less than 8KB code memory for the base system. It is written in assembly language and forth itself.

Release Notes: This release allows REFILL and SOURCE to be changed at runtime. The multitasker can now be used in turnkey applications. There are some new words from the strings standard word set. The documentation is improved, and some new utilities, including a call tracer, are added.

XODA is a DMS (Document Management System) written in PHP and using AJAX. Without a database backend it allows the addition and editing of descriptions and filters for files and directories, as well as performing regular actions like copying, moving, renaming, and deleting. The project targets end users who want to organize all kinds of documents on a remote machine running a Unix-like operating system with Web server and PHP support. It is just a few files including compressed JavaScript, and stores the "meta-information" in PHP files allowing working on the command line and avoiding collisions.

Release Notes: The system for management of users and privileges has been rebuilt. The project's own overlay JavaScript functions have been developed, allowing iBox.js-library to be removed. Small bugs have been fixed.

Simple Package Manager (SPM) is intended to operate in a way similar to existing package managers (apt, dpkg, Pacman, etc.). Instead of supporting a centralized package repository, SPM allows remote packages to be downloaded and installed automatically, given their URL. This allows a developer to package and distribute software via a package management system without having to worry about the many different formats and Linux distribution repositories.

The PCRE library is a set of functions that implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl 5, with just a few differences. PCRE is used by many programs, including Exim, Postfix, and PHP.

Loadbars is a small script that can be used to observe CPU loads of several remote servers at once in real time. It connects with SSH (using SSH public/private key auth) to several servers at once and vizualizes all server CPUs right next each other (either summarized or each core separately). Loadbars is not a tool for collecting CPU loads and drawing graphs for later analysis. However, since such tools require a significant amount of time before producing results, Loadbars lets you observe the current state immediately. Loadbars does not remember or record any load information. It just shows the current CPU usages like top or vmstat does.

LiVES is a simple to use yet powerful video effects, editing, conversion, and playback system aimed at the digital video artist and VJ. It runs under Linux, BSD, Mac OS X/Darwin, IRIX, and openMosix. It is frame and sample accurate, can handle almost all types of video, and is fully extendable through plugins and the included plugin builder tool. It can also be controlled remotely using OSC.

Release Notes: Playback has been optimised by tweaking audio settings. A regression in the backup has been fixed. A floating point fps bug for mkv decoder has been fixed. Gerbil consists of an interactive visualization tool targeted at multispectral and hyperspectral image data, and a toolbox of common algorithms, e.g. for segmentation. Multispectral imaging has been gaining popularity and has been gradually applied to many fields besides remote sensing. However, due to the high dimensionality of the data, both human observers and computers have difficulty interpreting this wealth of information. Gerbil facilitates the visualization of the relationship between spectral and topological information in a novel fashion. It puts emphasis on the spectral gradient, which is shown to provide enhanced information for many reflectance analysis tasks. It also includes a rich toolbox for evaluation of image segmentation and other algorithms in the multispectral domain. The parallel coordinates visualization technique is combined with hashing for a highly interactive visual connection between spectral distribution, spectral gradient, and topology.

Release Notes: Two important new functionalities are introduced in this release. First, gerbil now comes with a module for multispectral edge detection. Second, gerbil now provides a flexible commandline interface. It allows running algorithms in a batch, which is very valuable for benchmarking purposes.

GSL shell offers an interactive command-line interface that gives access to the GSL collection of mathematical functions. It is based on the powerful and elegant scripting language Lua. MUSCLE (Multi User Server Client Linking Environment) is an N-way messaging server and networking API. It includes client-side networking APIs for various languages, including C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, and Python. MUSCLE lets programs communicate over a network via streams of serialized Message objects. The included server program ("muscled") lets its clients message each other and store information in its server-side hierarchical database. The database supports flexible queries via hierarchical wildcarding, and "live" updates via a subscription mechanism.

Release Notes: Minor bugs were fixed. Memory usage of the Message class was reduced a bit, better control over the zlib-encoding of outgoing compressed Message objects was provided, and a deprecated Queue method was removed (GetItemPointer()).

libpng (PNG library) is a collection of routines used to create and manipulate PNG format graphics files. The PNG format was designed as a replacement for GIF and, to a lesser extent, TIFF, with many improvements and extensions.

Yioop! is a PHP search engine. Yioop! can be configured as either a general purpose search engine for the whole Web or it can be configured to provide search results for a set of URLs or domains. It supports indexing several file formats such as HTML, PDF, DOC, PPT, RTF, RSS, XML, SVG, PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF, and sitemaps. The Yioop! crawler can be deployed on one or many machines. On low-end hardware with cable Internet, four machines can download a million pages every couple of days. Crawling respects robots.txt including Crawl-delay. Yioop! crawls are stored in a Web archive format that is easy to move around. Crawling can be done on one machine and the results deployed elsewhere. Yioop! supports mixing of crawls. Yioop! comes with a search front end that can be localized as desired using a GUI. This GUI supports RTL languages. Management of crawls can also be done using this GUI. Yioop! can be configured in a straightforward manner to make use of memcache if available.

Release Notes: This release improved scalability by allowing multiple machines to maintain portions of the "to crawl next" queue. Query processing can also be split amongst machines, with different machines being responsible for documents of a given hash. Yioop! now supports mirroring of machines. Two word phrases as determined by an XML file such as Wikipedia URL dump can now be treated as a logical unit. The Yioop! model-view-controller framework has been made easier to extend and documentation for it has been added to the website.

Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.

Release Notes: The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2012/Feb/03). The Linux kernel was updated to 3.2.2-1. The zh_CN.UTF-8 language files were updated. A -fsck-src-part-y option was added so that fsck can be run automatically when saving an image.

web2ldap is a full-featured Web-based LDAPv3 client written in Python. It is designed to run either as with stand-alone built-in Web server or under the control of another Web server with FastCGI support (e.g. Apache with mod_fastcgi). It has support for various LDAPv3 bind methods and a powerful built-in schema browser. HTML templates are supported for displaying and editing entries, and LDIF templates can be used for quickly adding new entries. A built-in X.509 parser displays a detailed view of certificates and CRLs with active links.

o42a is a high-level general purpose programming language. "aura" is a desktop (X root window) background setter. It picks images randomly from specified paths, skipping those that are too small or have inappropriate aspect ratios, and rescales them by cropping solid margins, resizing with cubic interpolation and then the liquid rescale algorithm to fit the desktop with as little quality loss as possible. Images are labelled in the corner using embedded tags. It can changes images on a timed basis or when triggered by SIGHUP or the CLI, and tracks previous and blacklisted images.

jpecrga is a jQuery plug-in that helps Web sites use Google Analytics while complying with the amendment to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Act (PECR) that came into force in the UK on the 26th May 2011. It provides an unobtrusive method of gaining user consent before using Google Analytics, which requires cookies. The code requests consent from the user. If the user gives consent, then the plug-in will inject the Google Analytics code into the page. If consent is not explicitly given, no code is injected. The user also has the option to store these preferences permanently. This plug-in is designed to satisfy the EPD / PECR / cookie law regulations only for Google Analytics.

Pomm generates code to work with PostgreSQL and benefit from its speed and its rich features set. OrientDB is a NoSQL DBMS which can store 150,000 documents per second on common hardware. GNU Zile (Zile Is Lossy Emacs) is a lightweight Emacs clone. Every Emacs user should feel at home with Zile. Zile is aimed at small footprint systems (a typical binary is about 100Kb) and quick editing sessions (it starts up and shuts down instantly).

Fotoxx lets you navigate an image collection using a thumbnail browser and choose images to view or edit. Edit functions include brightness, contrast, color, white balance, tone mapping, red-eyes, sharpen, blur, noise suppression, smart erase, trim, resize, rotate, annotate, warp, art effects, HDR, HDF, stack, and panorama. Edit functions use movable curves and sliders. Feedback is live, using the whole image, with unlimited undo and redo. RAW files can be imported and edited with 16-bit color depth. Areas or objects can be selected using freehand draw, follow edge, and tone matching. Selections can be edited with adjustable blending. Selections can be cut and paste. You can add tags, dates, comments, captions, and ratings to images, and you can search using these criteria as well as file names. You can also define named collections of images, make slide shows, and view and edit metadata (EXIF etc.). Batch processing is available for rename, resize/export, CD/DVD burn, and add/delete tags.

Release Notes: Fotoxx has been converted to use GTK3 and Cairo. It will no longer build or install on older Linux releases lacking these libraries. Support for multiple top image directories has been added. The gallery thumbnail size is saved and restored across sessions. RPM packages are now built using Fedora and rpmbuild instead of alien. Two minor bugs have been fixed.

DeltaQt is a cross-platform library of C++ classes and functions for parsing of DELTA (DEscription Language for TAxonomy) files, and is part of the Free DELTA initiative. Support for all major data-related DELTA directives is planned. Typesetting directives are beyond the scope of the project, and support for them is not planned. Support for RTF formatting within comments, notes, descriptions, etc. is planned. All data defined by supported DELTA directives (including comments and annotations) will be parsed into memory. Qt (core) is used extensively.

Release Notes: This release includes an additional DELTA dataset and additional support for text encoding. It supports the "meta-directive" *COMMENT @encoding <codec> to specify text encoding for the input files. The Myxomycetes dataset is encoded using IBM850 and the encoding "meta-directive" has been added to each of its input files to exemplify the @encoding feature. Additionally, basic validation is now performed by comparing the parsed data with the values defined by the Delta directives 鈥渘umber of characters鈥�, 鈥渕aximum number of states鈥�, 鈥渕aximum number of items鈥� and 鈥渘umbers of states鈥�.

DR14 T.meter is a commandline tool for computing the Dynamic Range of your music according to the procedure used in the offline meter released by the Pleasurize Music Foundation. CUPS is a standards-based printing system for Mac OS X and other Unix-like operating systems. It provides the System V and Berkeley command line interfaces, and uses the Internet Printing Protocol ("IPP") as the basis for managing print jobs and queues. The Line Printer Daemon (LPD) Server Message Block (SMB), and AppSocket (a.k.a. JetDirect) protocols are also supported with reduced functionality. CUPS adds network printer browsing and PostScript Printer Description ("PPD") based printing options to support real world printing.

Auralquiz is a simple music quiz game that uses your own music files. It plays short pieces of music files from your folders and presents a question and several answers about the current song. The faster the answer, the more points you receive. Up to eight people can play in a turn-based mode. In the highest difficulty level, instead of having the buttons, the player must type the answer. Symbols like "!", "-", "." etc are filtered out, and it's not case sensitive, so it's a little easier to answer correctly.

Release Notes: This release adds a Czech translation and man page. Better song shuffling. Shows the progress bar while analyzing music. Reworked ranking with basic statistics. A fix for a bug with 4-button-mode and very long titles/artist names. Other small fixes.
